Testimonials
It is indeed a pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for my colleague, Debra Day. During the past four years of working with Deb on a variety of projects within our department, she epitomizes those characteristics that I currently teach in my leadership and team development classes. I am impressed with her team spirit, professionalism, work ethic, dedication, commitment to the task and leadership skills. She always holds herself accountable and responsible for her actions. Deb demonstrates great people skills, integrity, a compassion for others and a vision to plan for the future. She is a great mentor and role-model to her peers, the work-study students assigned to her and the students she advises in her Rotaract Club. - Bob (via LinkedIn)
Two words describe Debra. Contagious enthusiasm. Merriam-Webster defines contagious as "exciting similar emotions or conduct in others" and "communicable by contact." Either way, Debra will leave you with the desire, will and strength to go forward and make things happen! The fundamentals of development can be taught, but the ability to contagiously enthuse involves genetics. It takes knowledge and personality to be a successful major fund officer like Debra. She is authentic, ethical, and committed. With her keen sense of humor and joie de vivre, it is my pleasure to volunteer for her cause to bring Bagwell College of Education's initiatives to fruition. - Charlotte (via LinkedIn)
Working with Debra, I learned the value of organization and knowledge through her efficiency with the museum and coordination of volunteers and students. Debra always showed that she cared for her team by being available and open. She was never an unreachable or unapproachable person; if there was a problem or question, there was no hesitancy in seeking her for advice. Debra cared about my development as a college student, not just as an assistant in the museum. I never felt like I was just another student to her. - Meghan (via LinkedIn)
